Kuzu Zangpo and welcome to Bhutan the Kingdom in the sky.

Bhutan Paragon Travels is your Tour Company with a difference. It is owned and run by a family. Our main objective is to showcase this little known Kingdom, tucked away safely in the heart of the eastern Himalayas, to the rest of the world and share what it has to offer. Bhutan is a peace loving country with a unique way of life steeped in ancient tradition and rich cultural heritage. Indeed, it is a living museum. The Kingdom’s tourism policy advocates the concept of high value and low volume tourism with a view to protecting its fragile environment, rich traditions and distinct culture. From the time you set foot in the Land of the Peaceful Thunder Dragon or locally known as the Drukyul, you are our honoured guests. It is our culture to accord first priority to our guests. Your wellbeing and security in our country is our serious business.

Bhutan’s development paradigm is founded on the principles of GNH (Gross National Happiness). For Bhutan, the purpose of development is to serve the needs of the people, much less the wants of the people. We are mindful of the health of our environment and therefore it is our endeavor to remain within the sustainability of our planet.

Our Company offers tailor-made discourses on the concept of GNH (Gross National Happiness) to our clients. In fact, the entire tour itineraries are one way or the other deeply inspired by the virtues in the principles of the GNH.

Our Chairman Mr. Lhatu Wangchuk served as Bhutan’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations (2008 – 2013). During his tenure at the UN, he dedicated a good amount of his time in promoting peace and happiness based on the concept of GNH. Under his ambassadorship, he moved a resolution titled, “Happiness: towards holistic approach to development” at the United Nations General Assembly in July 2011 based on the principles of the GNH.
